Support for Students & Families

The Jefferson Family Foundation is committed to assisting students and their families to shrink educational, and socio-economic barriers. We understand that first-generation and low-income students and families; Black males; and other diverse populations have significant barriers that may prohibit them from enrolling and/or succeeding in college.

We are committed to provide mentoring and support services to assist students and families succeed. Below are our current support program.

Middle School

  • Leaders In Focused Engagement (L.I.F.E.) Skills

    • This program provides social skills for action mentoring for students. Some of the topics we would cover with the students include building self-confidence & self-respect, setting positive goals, managing stress and emotions, motivating yourself and assessing their values. 

High School

  • Path To Success

    • This program provides college access related mentoring for first-generation seniors their families. Mentoring would include topics such as applying to college, selecting the right college to attend, financial aid/FAFSA completion, scholarships, and other related topics.
